We firmly believe that children learn best through play. That’s why we offer hands-on, experiential learning for all ages at our preschool. You won’t see a lot of worksheets in our classrooms. Instead, you’ll see your children grow through art, activity, and experimentation.
We don’t utilize a pre-prescribed mass-produced curriculum, instead developing ongoing curriculum that meets California standards but is based on your children’s development and interests. Learning through play:

CUMC Preschool difference
CUMC Preschool offers developmentally appropriate 2, 3 and 5- day programs for children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. We provide a nurturing hands-on environment for children to discover, explore, problem-solve and create. Our play-based, fun atmosphere is dedicated to each child’s personal development. Each day, we offer a variety of age-appropriate activities to encourage children to participate in different experiences, including creative art, science, large and fine motor manipulatives, dramatic play, cooking and nutrition, as well as language and music. While continuing to focus on the same social-emotional developmental goals as the preschool program, the Pre-K program also focuses on fun-filled balanced curriculum which meets the California Preschool Academic Standards, and helps your child meet his or her full potential in all areas of development.
