My favorite thing about CUMC is how excited my boys were to go to school and how dirty they were when I picked them up. I know they were exploring the world and learning because of the dirt and paint they had one them at the end of the day.

It’s hard to summarize our time at CUMC Preschool with anything other than amazing! My daughter has absolutely loved school and lunch bunch! She has grown so much this year, in her knowledge but also in how to treat others. I was amazed that my 4 year old was learning about owl pellets, when I did that in 7th grade! Mrs. Leyla is amazing at making learning fun, safe, and challenging. From making blueprints for robots to learning how to do woodworking, these are not things I would have thought to teach my 4 year old! She’s flourishing! As the parent, I have loved all of the staff at CUMC. Not only have they given my daughter so much care, but they have cared for me as well. It will be hard to graduate from CUMC next week, we will be sure to visit soon!

Amazing school and even better teachers. Ms. Denise is a warm and wonderful teacher and my son has had nothing but a positive experience here. He tends to be on the shy side but comes home excited about his day.
They have spacious classrooms and a huge play ground. They really care for each child individually and are able to address what could help to further developmental milestones. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a quality preschool and excellent teachers. The program prices are very reasonable as well. Thanks Ms. Denise for a great start to my child’s love of learning.

My girls both attended CUMC preschool (they are now in kindergarten and 1st grade). It is an absolutely wonderful preschool! My girls adored their teachers (and so did I). They both have a love of school and learning that I am convinced is due to the foundation they developed at CUMC. All the teachers and staff have years (decades!) of experience which is invaluable. They are caring and nurturing and amazing and I could go on and on! The preschool and the church work seamlessly together and it is just an all around fantastic place with fantastic people. We miss it dearly but go back to visit whenever we can. I am so thankful we found this preschool, it was a great fit for our family. Keep up the great work CUMC! I am forever grateful!

I absolutely adore this school. I had toured 5 other schools till a teacher in my neighborhood recommended this place. Soon as I called to schedule to come in and tour the school the staff insisted to just show up whatever day at 9am. I could tell from that moment it was really an open door policy. (Most schools say it’s open door but in reality frown upon it)
I came in and everyone was so welcoming. Soon as we walk in Ms Vicki always says good morning to all the students by name.
The classrooms are like actual classrooms. Not just a big space with toys everywhere.
Not to mention this place is affordable! And clean! I feel safe and comfortable dropping off my daughter here.
My daughter has never came home sad or upset. She’s always excited to go to school and see her teachers and classmates!

This preschool is the best!! We sent our daughter to the Pre-K program, and she immediately started to blossom and grow. Ms. Leyla was extremely attentive and patient. When it came time to decide what we were going to do regarding kindergarten, she recommend that we do a bonus Pre-K year at the school with Miss Denise. I am forever grateful for that advice. This extra year has provided my daughter the exact direction she needed so that we feel confident sending her off to preschool next year. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and consideration this entire team of teachers puts into each and every student. If you are looking for a school where your child will be stimulated through play and cared for as you would at home, you’ve found that right place.

This is a wonderful preschool! My daughter has gone to this school for two years now and loves going to school everyday. The teachers, as well as all staff members are caring and nurturing, and love what they do. Their program is developmentally appropriate for preschoolers, and the students learn through a fun and enriching curriculum. I also love that the preschool building and playground is away from all major streets and is very safe. I would highly recommend this preschool.

This is the best preschool in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. I visited 15 preschools (I know I’m picky!!) and CUMC Preschool was my favorite by far. The teachers are so loving and kind. They truly care about each and every child and it is quite apparent that they love what they do. It is a developmental program that provides the necessary skills for a child to be successful, happy, independent, and confident. The classrooms are large, clean, colorful and fun and the playground is wonderful too. It has a lot of great equipment, toys, bikes…the list goes on. It also has beautiful, mature trees that provide shade if desired. My son has gone to CUMC for two years and he loves it. As a parent, I love that I can drop off my child and know that he is learning and playing in a fun, caring, safe environment . It’s a wonderful school.

Such a wonderful school! Teachers are warm, caring, and really take the children’s personality into consideration. The school is colorful and the classrooms are full of wonderful materials so the kids have a stimulating learning experience. They also have a huge play yard, with so much room for the kids to play.
I have felt such a sense of community at this school. My shy son has blossomed at CUMC Nursery School. The prices are very reasonable too. I toured preschools all over Huntington Beach and this one is the best!

This preschool has been around a very long time. My neighbors went there when they were little. Their children go there. I am proud to say my daughter now goes there and so will my son when he is old enough. The teachers are so loving and kind. They get to know all the children and really teach them the developmental lessons children need at their ages. What I also like is that they have a pre-k program for children who are not age ready for kinder which will help prepare them for the next year. The rooms are very student centered with all of their artwork or projects they do. It is a very clean environment. I would definitely recommend this preschool to any one who asks 🙂

My kids and I absolutely love CUMC Nursery School. The teachers have been there for many many years. The teachers are kind, patient and so caring. The Director is always there to greet you at the door and there when you pick up your child. It is safe, with a big enclosed play area. They always add and change their playground activities. I can’t rave enough about how much I love this school. I will be so sad when my last child finishes at the school this year. They also offer lunch bunch and stay and play. I highly recommend this preschool. They are fantastic!

My kids have been attending this school since 2015. We all adore this school. The classes are clean and organized with each section separated into a theme (some classes even have their own library corner too). The teachers love their jobs and their students. Yes, the school is affiliated with the church, and the children will attend chapel monthly. Nevertheless, it’s for these very same reasons that i feel the kids will thrive and learn strong values. the staff is nurturing, and everyone truly knows the children’s names. Please give it a chance. It’s neither a fancy nor new school, but it delivers in so many ways. This is one of the few schools left with a focus on free play (in a very safe and big playground) as much as academics. This is the ideal nurturing environment all preschoolers need. The children will be academically prepared for kindergarten, and their social growth will excel compared to what is obtainable in other preschools.
